For Parents:

Our  FLRSD Strategic Planning Team (SPT) cordially invites all parents and community members to its 2nd Focus Group Listening Sessions. The event is taking place on September 24, 2026. Please click here for details about this up-and-coming Parent & Community Focus Group Listening Session.
 

Parents of Seniors:

Hello Class of 2027 Parent/Guardian(s),
Welcome to your student's Senior Year! We are off and running on post-secondary planning, with college application presentations underway and our upcoming annual college fair. We are writing to share some updates and inform you about our Financial Aid Seminar on September 22.
  • Over the next week all seniors are meeting with the guidance department in small groups for a college application help session and information on post-secondary planning. They were informed of the MANY ins and outs of the college application process, timelines, documents, etc. 
  • If you have any questions regarding the process please ask your student about the meeting. It is helpful to ask them to show you their progress in SchooLinks, Common App and the documents we have in the red Senior Folder.
  • All students will be invited to a Scholarship & Financial Aid Google Classroom in mid October.  
  • Students are able to schedule individual meetings with their counselor via the link posted in their Laker Locker.  We also encourage them to stop in during ac labs and email us as needed.
Upcoming Events:
  • We are hosting a seminar for parents with a financial aid expert from Seven Hills Behavioral Health on September 22nd from 6-7:30pm at ARHS in the lecture hall. No RSVP necessary and we look forward to seeing you there! We strongly encourage you to attend this event as every year there are changes. MEFA (Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority) is also a helpful resource available to you in the financing of college and understanding the FAFSA and CSS Profile. 
  • All students will attend a College and Technical Fair on September 17th during the school day. Please see the attached list of attendees. 
  • Students who are interested in attending a 2 year program were informed of the Bristol Community College On the Spot Admissions Day in March at ARHS.
The post secondary process is unique for each student. While many will attend a 4 year college/university, others will be looking at community college, military, technical programs or entering the workforce. Our goal is to make sure each student has a plan before graduation in June!  We know that this time is both exciting and stressful for your family so please reach out at any time and encourage your student to connect with their counselor.

Library Sign Up

SENIORS - No need to use scan; sign in at the circulation desk when you arrive.

You must have something academic to work on.
Report to your Academic Lab for attendance and wait for the “ding-dong”.

Upcoming Club/Activity Meetings

  • The first meeting of Apponequet's LGBT+ Alliance will be next Thursday, September 24th, immediately after school in Mr. Pollino's Room 204. All are welcome. Please have a ride arranged for 2:45. Hope to see you there!
  • There will be a mandatory meeting for Class of 2027 Officers on Monday to plan for our upcoming Senior activities. Please meet in Ms. Lima's room after school. See Mr. Pollino or Ms. Lima with any questions.

Drop Off and Pick-Up Reminders

Morning Drop Off: The school opens at 6:45 am and students are supervised in the Cafeteria until the bell rings at 7:13 am, signaling a passing to first period.
Please note that two entrances are open for drop off this year. Vehicles must exit by the same side as they entered and are cautioned to drive carefully as our student drivers enter the building from the parking lot. SRO Bartholomew will be present for drop-off. Please contact the Main Office or SRO Bartholomew with any questions.
Afternoon Pick Up - We continue to ask parents and guardians to park when arriving for pick up to ensure that cars do not block the bus lanes and Howland Road. If you have any questions about this process, please contact the Main Office or SRO Bartholomew.

Important Chromebook Information

All parents/guardians must complete the FLRSD Student/Parent Loan of Chromebook User Agreement 2026/27.
In preparation for the coming school year, please access the links below for information and important information regarding Chromebooks and Chromebook insurance.

Community Event

The Freetown Public Library will be holding a Teen Fright Night on Wednesday, October 14th from 5:00pm-7:00pm.  Join them for pizza, snacks, book bedazzling, and more!

College Fair

Thank you to the Guidance Department for arranging our College Fair! Fifty-three four year colleges, community colleges, and trade schools were represented.
Just to double the engagement, the students filled in their bingo cards for a raffle for one winner per class. Congratulations to Jase Jarvis, Vivian Frade, Aisling Richards, and Vivian Frade!
